Seldom Found Amoung the Homeless- Bed-bug Epidemic may Lead to Superbug Epidemic

Many of you will remember my postings on "THE OTHER OLYMPIC LEGACY""
BED-BUGS.
At that time, bedbugs  were becoming a "common nuisance".
THEY WERE, AND ARE,
A HUGE DRAIN ON THE HEALTH CARE SYSTEM
BUT, THEY WERE NOT CONSIDERED A HEALTH THREAT--
"JUST AN ANNOYANCE".
A VERY COSTLY ANNOYANCE.

Unlike their close cousins--Green Aphids--bed-bugs are not found in the brush, in flower gardens, in the grass, or crawling around on our streets. They do not respond well to temperature change, do not like to be exposed, and do not like to crawl far. For these reasons, they are seldom found among the homeless--those people who sleep on our streets (which is why may of these people choose to sleep there).
They are found in:
up-scale
APARTMENTS,
AUDITORIUMS
PUBLIC LIBRARIES,
 SPORTS ARENAS,
 government sponsored
 SHELTERS,
 high end
HOTELS,
 RESTAURANTS,
SCHOOLS,
SENIORS COMPLEXES,
 and on
ALL PUBLIC TRANSIT.
A MUCH OVERLOOKED FACT:BED-BUGS LOVE SAFE, WARM, PLACES. THEY LIKE TO FEED AND THEN IMMEDIATELY RETURN TO A SAFE CONCEALED PLACE, STILL CLOSE TO UNSUSPECTING HUMANS.
THEY LOVE TO GET INTO SHOES--AND THEY LOVE THE UNUSED HOLES IN BELTS
SO, IF YOU SHOULD-- JUST HAPPEN-- TO STAY IN AN INFESTED LOCATION--SAY A HOTEL OR MOTEL ROOM AND YOU SHOULD JUST HAPPEN TO DROP YOUR SHOES, OR CLOTHING, DOWN BESIDE THE BED--
YOU CAN BE SURE THAT BY MORNING THE BED-BUGS WILL HAVE FOUND THEMSELVES ANOTHER NEW HOME. ONE IN WHICH THEY CAN NOW FEED-- AT THEIR LEISURE.
AS WAS TRUE WITH MOSQUITOES
 AND OTHER BLOOD-SUCKING INSECTS;

IT IS JUST A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE IT IS SUDDENLY DISCOVERED THAT THEY SPREAD MANY OTHER DISEASES.
WHEN DOES NOT REALLY MATTER.
People living with bed-bug infestations are subject to nightly feeding's that can lead to restless nights, sleep deprivation, emotional stress ,severe depression and suicide. Large infestations and heavy rates of feeding result in blood loss and in adults and children; many of whom are already poorly nourished, anaemia and other problems associated with iron deficiency.
