TWICE A BRITISH COLUMBIA TEAM (VANCOUVER CANUCKS) HAS REACHED THE NHL STANLEY CUP FINALS
AND
TWICE THERE WERE RIOTS.
ALL BECAUSE OF SOME--TRULY MEANINGLESS--ENTERTAINMENT.
MOST OF THE PLAYERS ARE NOT FROM B.C. SOME AREN'T EVEN CANADIAN.
IN ANOTHER YEAR, IF THEY ARE STILL PLAYING, MOST WILL BE SOME WHERE ELSE.
WORSE, THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO ARE PROUD OF THIS.
WHAT ARE THEY PROUD OF?
Do they not realize that in the past few years several "terrorists" have been executed for this same type of activity?
BUT, THIS IS WHAT WE REFER TO AS "HOCKEY";

The cost enormous.
The result--anarchy, burning of private property, dangerous explosions,
the employment of noxious gas, gangland warfare, looting, riots,
and
TERRORISM
AND
AT LEAST ONE DEATH.
EVENTS THAT NO AVERAGE CANADIAN FAMILY COULD AFFORD TO ATTEND.
Down-town Vancouver looks even more like a battle field than usual
